I enjoyed studying this foundation course, and sadly it comes to the end. To reflect on last week class, I would like to say that it was interesting.
It was interesting to listen Loyal's idea cooperative Education.
And it was great to hear some other students' teaching experiences.

Application:

1. I like Loyal's idea and other students sharing that experienced teachers, and new teachers should cooperatively work together in teaching so that new teachers can get more knowledge from experienced teachers.

2. As every subjects are correlated , i have known that it would be beneficial for students if teachers are working together.

3. According to reading, global classroom is a kind of thematic unit plan that is good to use in the 8 or 9 grade classroom.I got a number of activities for students to learn about weather, climate or seasons around the would.

Thanks.

In the final week, loyal presented his dream, which is described already on the blog. He said that he was excited to state it because it was his dream. Also, three of our classmates were wonderful in sharing about their teaching related to the lesson _communicating about content areas_ to the class. From reading, I have got some ideas that it can help student engaging in learning by setting up a wall calendar it is for visual learners and using auditory stimuli for auditory learners as well as using Kinesthetic stimuli.I have realized the point that teaching in season and weather relate to some areas such as Math, and vocabulary. Thus, as the teacher, making connection to each subject what we teach ( Math, English ,and other subjects) will be more helpful for students achievements.

Thank you!

It was interesting to know about the cooperative teaching as we only focus on the cooperative learning in teaching practices. This teaching methods in which there is a combination of role and shared resources and responsibilities are the effort while working towards the common goal of school ,success for all students .
In my opinion these are the some of the point that we have to give more important in this cooperative teaching method.
1. There should definitely cooperation in working together and there should be good commutation and collaboration between the teachers.
2. Teachers have to be honest and open about their strength and weakness in order to work in their related subjects.
3. Teacher has to share the same end goal otherwise this may be not work well.

This is my last application for this course and I want to write the details about the all the lesson we discussed together and we also had such a memorable presentation from my classmates.

Firstly, Idealism and Education introduced me for this course and I was amazed and very excited to learn again about Philosopher Plato in my life. I studied about him when I was studying my undergrad and took the Philosophy course as my minor subject. Honestly, I admit this topic starting to push me through to find out more about philosophy of education. I have already known some philosopher in this book but I never thought their philosophy on education would be so useful for us. It started storming in my brain about education and I was searching all about educational websites.

Luckily, I found out some great educational website and now become their website regular reader to discuss to use new ways to improve our teaching skills in the class on Facebook page or in Forum. Because of this, I decided to create Education website of my own to share all the Education news and discuss on my facebook page. It becomes my lifelong project to fulfill my dream and to do the good deeds for my country as much as I can.

Even now I am studying EA , I also prefer to learn about teaching methods and I really like Neil Postman book " The End of Education " .I was absent at that time to discussed about Neil Postman and missed a good opportunity to discuss my favorite topic in this whole course.
First of all, I like the way of his thinking to throw away the textbooks. I understand his thinking as he just want us not too depends on Textbooks and find out they way ourselves to guide the students. He wrote textbooks are enemies of education because maybe he did find out some teachers cannot escape from using only textbooks and also using one method. But is that mean we don't really need textbooks? I will say" No" but it could be an arguable question.
And I also learned that before we become a teacher and using the textbooks to teach our students, we should have our own skills to write the textbooks. It is so simple, the one who don't know how to write and he might not know how to take out the good lessons from the textbooks. Frankly to say this, Mr. Postman wants us to find out ourselves not to be lazy and urge us to find out quality textbooks and use those in a good way with our own good teaching methods.
In conclusion, I can take the next step from this foundation of education course and many thanks to all my classmates and to Dr.Andy for such a memorable class for me.

God Bless you all :)

We had a good presentation by three seniors on the last week about the global classroom. It is an interesting topic that teachers related every subject. Teachers use simple topic for student’s motivation by using VAK attack. I see it as a very helpful and appropriate teaching especially for a lower grate. They need to see lessons from textbooks exit in t heir environment. As we are in the 21st century, the children should not only know their environment, also know about the outer world. Like example in the book, they will learn about the weather in the country they live but they’ll need to know also about the other country’s weather and the differences of the country they live and the other countries’ diversity. By internalizing the lessons in every subject they’ll recognize and can be nailed in their brain. If not, the lessons may not stay long in their memory. Although I think it will be a little difficult for teachers to relate every subject, I believe it is a valuable and supportive teaching. Therefore, my application for this week will be, 1) Teaching simply and motivate students by using VAK attack, 2) Internalizing lessons in every subjects by cooperating with the other teachers, and 3) Planning the lessons including about the global information in order to raise the student’s interest.

Some experiences from other students also teach me hoe to plan for education. I really like the multicultural education chapter that very useful for me. Thus, I was very impress for our classroom, I have many friends from different countries that I learn how to adapt myself in order to get along well with them.

As I had mentioned earlier, the course was a very interesting one which was least expected from foundation courses. Just a few applications in general:

1)Regarding global classrooms, the idea according to the reading is really good but to implement it, the school will need a lot of cooperation from their staff. However, another thing is that if a student does not like a topic then in this case the school won't leave any choice for the student which is unfair.

2)However, curriculum development is an intense process and earlier also people have planned to involve all related parties, however, in reality due to people will different personalities and priorities everyone does not contribute as expected.

3)I think getting ideas from the alumni of a school is a good idea as well which any schools are already implementing, because not only from school and parent's view but student's view of learning is also imperative.

To reflect on last week class, it was areally interesting. Loyal's idea about cooperative education is interesting. He said new teacher cooperatively work with experience teacher to get more knowledge about teaching. I also learned that it will be benifit for students if teachers work together in every subjects. From reading, I learned that by using materials and activities, can inspire students to use their senses: sight, hearing, smell and touch.
thanks.

Global education involves perspective taking, seeing things through the eyes, minds and hearts of others and it means the realization that while individuals and groups may view life differently, they also have common needs and wants. Students learn about themselves and others so they can be successful participants in our interconnected world. school must have a curriculum that is extensive and international one that is open to new thoughts and ideas. Global classroom encourages their students to learn about tand work with people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Technology makes possible because students are able to communicate and work with people representing different cultures and view points from around the world. learning in group work which demonstrates to teachers and students that people from different cultures and diverse perspective can work together toward a common goal.
